6th July - Limited Inspections

Temperature 18C, weather fair, windy. Time 14:30

Due to BBKA Basic Assessments inspections limited to hives 1, 6 & 7.

Queen (Yellow 2014) seen.
No Queen Cells.
Brood in all stages and eggs.
Stores adequate.
Foundation frame moved into brood nest.

Top super being filled.
Bottom super being drawn..

Queen (2014)  seen and marked Green.
No Queen Cells
8 frames of brood no drone.
Stores adequate.

Shallow Brood
Queen not seen.
No Queen Cells
8 frames of brood including drone.
Stores adequate.

8 frames stores capped.
3 frames being filled.

Not inspected.

Shallow Brood (Castellated)
5 sealed Queen Cells on test frame. Removed 3 including 1 'black' contents dead and soup-like possible Black Queen Cell virus & Nosema. 2 Queen Cells cells left.
